This Notice explains how EduLegaL collects and uses the personal data that you share through this website.

1. Who we are
EduLegaL is the education law practice of RSB LegaL, Advocates & Consultants, 201A, PT Gera Centre, Bund Garden Road, Pune - 411 001. RSB LegaL decides why and how the personal data collected through this website is used, and is referred to in this Notice as "we" or "us". This Notice is issued in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Rules made under the same.
2. The data we collect
We collect only what you choose to type into our forms.
- Contact form: your name, type of institution, the area in which you need help, email address, phone number and message.
- Webinar request form: your name, institution, email address, topic and preferred dates.
- Service page enquiry form: your name, email address and query.
The phone number and the details in the message box are optional. We do not ask for any identity number, financial detail or document through these forms.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to arrange a webinar or a conversation that you have asked for, and to share the information that you have requested. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent the same to anyone. We will send you updates or newsletters only in the event that you have separately asked for them.
4. Your consent
We use your data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box before submitting a form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to mail@edulegal.in. The withdrawal does not affect the use of your data before the withdrawal, and we will stop using the data and delete the same unless the law requires us to keep the said data.
5. Please do not send confidential material through the forms
Please do not share privileged or confidential documents, or personal data of students, employees or other individuals, through the website forms. Sending an enquiry through the website does not by itself create an advocate and client relationship. We will tell you how to share such material securely once we respond to you.
6. Who can see your data
Your data is seen only by the lawyers and staff of RSB LegaL who need to deal with your enquiry. Our website hosting provider and our email service handle the data on our behalf, strictly for delivering your message to us. We disclose personal data to a court, regulator or authority only in the event that the law requires us to do so.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep the details of an enquiry that does not lead to an engagement for 12 months from the date of the enquiry, and then delete the same. In the event that we are engaged, the data is kept in the client file for the period that applicable law and professional practice require.
8. How we protect your data
We use reasonable security safeguards, including restricted access to the mailbox that receives your enquiries and protection against spam and automated submissions. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we therefore ask you to share only what is necessary.
9. Your rights
You may ask us for a summary of the personal data that we hold about you and how we have used the same. You may ask us to correct or complete your data, and to erase the data that is no longer needed. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
10. Children
This website is meant for institutions, professionals and adults. Please do not submit the personal data of a child through our forms. In the event that we learn that such data has been submitted, we will delete the same.
11. Questions and grievances
Please write to us at mail@edulegal.in with the subject "Privacy", for any request under this Notice or for any complaint about the use of your data. We will acknowledge your message by the 7th day and respond to you by the 30th day. In the event that you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page, and the updated Notice applies from that date.
