AICTE Releases Procedure for Obtaining NOC for Conducting ODL & OL Programmes for 2021-22

19th August 2021, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) released a notification[i] pertaining to the NOC obtaining procedure for conducting Open and Distance Learning Programmes (ODL) and Online Programmes (OL) for the academic year 2021-22. The notification was in reference to the public notice dated 14.08.2021, which specifies that Central, State, or Private universities who have applied to UGC to run ODL and online courses, and want to take NOC for courses in Management, Computer Applications, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science, Logistics and Travel & Tourism must apply to the AICTE portal https://www.aicte-india.org before 31st August 2021.
As per the announcement, Universities applying for the first time should obtain login credentials and access the AICTE Web portal to submit the online application for obtaining the NOC. They must fill the digital certificate and register it as per the instructions given. Provisions have also been made to combat technical issues. The varsities can raise online grievance through AICTE’s Centralized Grievance System by clicking on the link given in notification or they can also contact the Helpdesk during office hours (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM) on below mentioned contact Nos.
